Terms of Service

matday is an attendance and membership management application for Brazilian jiu-jitsu academies. By downloading, installing, or using the matday app or website, you agree to these terms.

matday allows academy owners to create and manage their academy, track class sessions and attendance, manage member rosters and membership requests, and communicate with members via push notifications. Members can join an academy, register for classes, check in via QR code, and log their training.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us immediately at hello@matday.app if you suspect unauthorised access.

If you create an academy on matday, you are responsible for:

• The accuracy of the information you provide about your academy.
• Obtaining any consents required to manage your members' data.
• Ensuring your use of the platform complies with applicable law.

You agree not to:

• Use matday for any purpose that is unlawful or harmful to other users.
• Attempt to access data belonging to other academies or users.
• Interfere with the availability or security of the service.
• Impersonate another person or create an account on behalf of someone else without their consent.
• Use automated tools to access or interact with the service without our prior written permission.

matday is currently free to use. We may introduce paid features in the future. We will give users reasonable advance notice before any pricing change takes effect.

We aim to keep matday available and reliable but make no uptime guarantees. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. Where possible, we will give advance notice of significant changes.

matday and its content, features, and functionality are owned by matday and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the service without our prior written consent.

You retain ownership of content you submit to matday, such as profile information and training logs. By submitting content, you grant matday a limited licence to store and display that content solely to provide the service to you.

You may delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that have been inactive for an extended period, with reasonable notice where possible.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, matday is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. matday is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of matday will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Portugal.

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the app or by email. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
